Deggendorf Institute of Technology 

With deep roots in its Lower Bavarian roots, the Technical University of Deggendorf grew to become Bavaria's most successful new university of applied sciences in the 1990s. Nobody could have predicted this level of success in the first year. With the future in mind, the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences has made it through the gradual development of appealing fields of study, supplemented by an appealing range of further education, intensive research activities and knowledge and technology transfer to the regional economy, picking up on economic and social trends, and cultivating regional and international contacts. Over 8,000 young people are currently studying in Deggendorf, Pfarrkirchen, and Cham. More than one-third of them come from other countries to study in Lower Bavaria. Numerous bachelor's and master's programs are available in these fields, as well as continuing education. All courses are of national and international quality. Aside from the main campus in Deggendorf, DIT's study sites in Pfarrkirchen and Cham provide an additional excellent opportunity to obtain a bachelor's and/or master's degree. Those looking to complete their studies in English in a multicultural environment will find it at the European Campus Rottal-Inn and Campus Cham. Despite its rapid growth, the campus maintains a family-like atmosphere. Student associations are actively involved in shaping campus life. Deggendorf has many advantages as a university town. The distances between the campus, the city, and the residence halls are short and can be covered on foot. There are numerous recreational opportunities due to the proximity to the Danube and the Bavarian Forest.
