Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts 

The FH Dortmund is one of Germany's ten largest universities of applied sciences, with approximately 15,000 students. The course is intended to provide practical training. Approximately 70 courses provide bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science, engineering, economics, and social sciences, as well as architecture and design. The Dortmund University of Applied Sciences aims to academically train young people through quality teaching, personal support, and a cosmopolitan orientation, to accompany them in the development of their potential, and to enable them to pursue appealing career paths. Simultaneously, the FH Dortmund establishes long-term impulses for the science location and the region. FH Dortmund is located in the Ruhr region, Europe's fourth largest urban area. In 1971, several higher education institutions merged to form Fachhochschule Dortmund. It has three campuses in different parts of Dortmund due to its history as separate institutions. The mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and information technology faculties are located on Sonnenstraße, close to the city center. The Faculty of Design has its own campus at Max-Ophüls-Platz, whereas the Faculties of Applied Social Studies, Business Studies, Computer Science, and Architecture are housed in a number of buildings adjacent to the TU Dortmund University campus in the Eichlinghofen suburb. The Faculty of Business Studies is well-known at the university. Additional administrative offices are located in the city center.
