Flensburg University (Europa-Universität Flensburg) is a public university in Flensburg, Germany. It was founded in 1994 and is Germany's northernmost university. Despite having full university status and the ability to award PhDs, Europa-Universität Flensburg primarily offers courses in education and other social science fields. The university offers German-Danish study courses in collaboration with the University of Southern Denmark in Snderborg, as well as through a partnership with the Fachhochschule Flensburg.
There are five faculties, numbered Department I to Department V, each of these is divided into a number of institutes. The university employs 200 full-time employees and over 400 visiting professors and lecturers. The B.A. course in Communication and Teaching Science has been discontinued. Since then, the university's only undergraduate programs have been the B.A. in Teaching Science and the B.A. in International Management.
