International Medical College (IMC) 

The International Medical College® (IMC) is a well-established German university-based institution offering postgraduate international Master's courses and continuing education through a blended learning concept with the goal of providing the best knowledge transfer in dentistry, medicine, and medical technology. The International Medical College® of the University of Duisburg-Essen is maintained by the MIB GmbH. The International Medical College® of the University of Duisburg-Essen implements or runs the following master's degree programs in the field of oral medicine on behalf of the University of Duisburg-Essen as a blended learning concept: • Master of Science in lmplantology and Dental Surgery • Master of Science in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry • Master of Science in Periodontology • Master of Science in Specialized Orthodontics • Master of Science in Advanced General Dental Practice The master's degree programs enable the participants to take a university examination based on the examination regulations issued by the University to obtain the academic degree "Master of Science". Part-time advanced postgraduate training and education programs are now available even to those who are already involved in a day-to-day clinic or practice routine, thanks to modern blended-learning concepts. IMC® is a unique didactic approach that combines E-learning modules, live online lectures, and hands-on practical training blocks. These training programs emphasize both the dissemination of the most recent research findings and outcomes and the exchange of participants' knowledge in their respective specialties. This approach is enabled by collaboration between universities and the respective international training and education institutions, as well as a specially designed curriculum and integrated program. The German Federal Government's Council of Science and Humanities [Wissenschaftsrat] has demanded and praised this advancement in order to support research and higher education in dental medicine (2005, Wissenschaftsrat).
