India: First university degree, for example a Bachelor degree in The Languages and Cultures of the Indian Subcontinent and Tibet at Universität Hamburg, or a comparable Bachelor degree as well as sufficient language skills in Sanskrit or Pali.

Tibet: First university degree, for example a Bachelor degree in The Languages and Cultures of the Indian Subcontinent and Tibet at Universität Hamburg, or a comparable Bachelor degree as well as sufficient language skills in Classical Tibetan.

China: First university degree, for example a Bachelor degree in the East Asia program at Universität Hamburg, or a comparable Bachelor degree as well as sufficient language skills in Chinese.

Japan: First university degree, for example a Bachelor degree in the East Asia program at Universität Hamburg, or a comparable Bachelor degree as well as sufficient language skills in Japanese and German.
