In automotive systems  electronic control units process sensor output to determine the car's current stability and derive counter-measures in critical situations. User interfaces with touch panels read user inputs and control machines in the automation industry. Autonomous vehicles in automated warehouses make use of various sensor signals to find the right shelf. Smart cameras check the quality of parts and goods post-production  and wireless communication systems allow mobile devices to deliver location-based services.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Master Programme in Biological Sciences offers in-depth knowledge in the biosciences and will prepare you in the best possible way for a future in research and teaching. In addition to the biosciences you can also apply for a focus area of study in the fields of ecology, evolution and behaviour, cellular and molecular biology or disease biology. This option of pursuing a focus area of study as part of the Master programme enables our students to gain thorough, scientifically founded qualifications in a specific area.

Biological Sciences

University of Konstanz

Master programme in Social and Economic Data Science provides the knowledge and skills necessary to collect, manage and analyse diverse data sources created from administrative processes, network logs, social media, surveys or experiments. The program puts a heavy emphasis on foundational issues including problems of measurement, representation and causal inference which are often overlooked in current big data analytics. The course is tailored for students with a BA degree in the behavioural and social sciences, and a proven interest in quantitative and computational methods. 

Proof of sufficient English language skills can also be proven through individual cases, an equivalent test checked and recognized by the corresponding Examination Board

Social and Economic Data Science

The Master program Precision Medicine Diagnostics is a multidisciplinary program which uses new laboratory and analysis techniques for medical diagnostics. Students decide individually in which area of precision medicine they wish to specialise. Typical areas are high throughput analysis, personalised medicine with immunological methods or the use of biomarkers, then validated by means of clinical studies.

The Master program in Sports Ethics and Integrity equip students for high-level careers in sports administration and governance, with a focus on ethical sports, integrity and compliance. The University of Koblenz-Landau is a recent institution with a sizeable student body. In 1990, it emerged from a university of educational science. Eight departments are housed on its two campuses in Koblenz and Landau, and the President's Office is located in Mainz. The three interconnected, multidisciplinary profile areas of "Education," "People," and "Environment" are now where research and instruction are aligned.

The University of Koblenz welcomes more than 1,700 first-year students. The 1990-founded university was modelled after a number of earlier colleges in Koblenz, Landau, Neuwied, Worms, Kaiserslautern, and Trier.
