Course Details

The hallmark of Osnabrück's English and American Studies is the close integration of the sub-disciplines of linguistics, literature and cultural studies. Special focus of research and teaching are language, literature and culture of the English Renaissance (with a focus on Shakespeare), language in context, "Late Modern English", English-language children's and young adult literature, American literature and culture (especially Visual Culture Studies and American Legal Culture), contemporary British culture and English vocabulary and how it is conveyed. The subject English is offered as a core and minor subject and can be combined with other subject.
