The core competencies taught in the Master programme will enable students to understand and solve problems in the field of food quality and safety from and integrative, cross-disciplinary perspective. The course is interdisciplinary in design, combining a life science focus (e.g. biology of crops and farm animals, food microbiology, human nutrition, analytical methods, food biochemistry) with and approximately equal share of legal and economic studies. As a graduate of the Master programme Food Quality and Safety, students are qualified for a career in research as well as for leading positions in the food industry, at authorities, in the media, and other areas of politics, administration, and business.

The Semester contributions totaling 137.97 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Association of Student Services fee 72.00 EUR and Semester Ticket fee 65.97 EUR
Minimum entry requirement includes a Bachelor degree in natural sciences or and equivalent degree with grade of 2.5 or better.
Applicants must pass aptitude assessment process.
Cambridge CAE can also serve as proof of language proficiency
Documents must be certified and translated in English or German
Informal declaration on the independent preparation of written presentation of course-specific Competencies is required for admission
