Master in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE) has objective to educate change agents for systems and institutions of higher education, innovation and research, improve the management of higher education and research institutions, promote internationalisation in higher education, innovation and research, entrepreneurship and strengthen university-business relationships, and to raise the quality of learning and teaching and make higher education more inclusive. MARIHE programme is jointly conducted by the six partners University for Continuing Education Krems/Austria (coordinating institution), Tampere University/Finland, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück/Germany, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE)/Hungary, Beijing Normal University/China and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology/India. Students will have their first semester in Austria, the second in Finland, the third in China/India (first part of the 3rd semester, students will attend a study trip to Asia. They will be able to choose between: Beijing Normal University (China) or Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (India)) and the last one in Germany. Students can choose from four different specialisation tracks, which comprise the second part of the 3rd and the 4th semester: Specialisations in Research and Innovation, TAU (Finland), Leadership and Management, UASO (Germany), Institutional Research, UWK (Austria), and Learning and Teaching, ELTE (Hungary).

The tuition fee (participation costs) include participation in all classes offered within the MARIHE curriculum; support in administrative and organisational issues by the consortium partners; costs for enrollment at the consortium partner's institutions; all examinations; issuing of the final diploma
Minimum requirement includes at least a Bachelor degree issued by a university, quantified as three years of studies (full time) corresponding to 180 ECTS.
Native speakers are exempted from providing proof of language proficiency
Applicants must submit an essay ((maximum 2 pages) on the topic: From your own experience: What would you change at your university?) and a short video with a maximum duration of two minutes
