The research-oriented Media and Communication Science Master program is a social-scientific oriented program whose main objective is the exploration of media communication. The program combines content from the fields of communication sciences, media technology, economic sciences and law. The program is research oriented and closely connected with current, medium and long-term research activities of the Institute for Media and Communication Studies (IfMK). This Master program focuses on facilitate students to acquire knowledge and Competencies in theoretical approaches, research methods and findings concerning media communication in a research oriented course.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 131.74 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Semester ticket 47.74 EUR, Student Union 74 EUR and Student body 10 EUR

With the Bachelor in Information Systems you will acquire exciting knowledge in the fields of business and information processing systems. Whether Programming, Hacking and IT Security or E-Business - the Bachelor of Business Informatics brings you closer to various subject areas and thus combines the basis of business administration with current trends and challenges of business informatics. If you are studying Business Informatics, your studies will be strongly oriented towards the current industry change with consulting projects, workshops and experienced lecturers from the business world. You will also gain your first professional experience through integrated internships at home or abroad.
Note: The program can also be completed under 7 semester duration within global track that includes an integrated semester abroad in the fourth semester. During the semester abroad, you will not only get to know international IT trends, but also acquire valuable intercultural and linguistic skills.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Students from EU and EWR have to pay an enrollment fee of 600 EUR and Non-EU-students have to pay 1500 EUR

Information Systems

International School of Management (ISM)

Master in Ecological Engineering deals with preserving ecosystems and protecting the environment. Various types of land use are competing globally for the limited space available. You will learn to understand the effects of these conflicts on ecosystems and to develop interdisciplinary environmental planning. Design sustainable land use strategies, e.g. for resource-conserving agriculture or forestry or for ecologically acceptable wastewater treatment solutions. Design methods to prevent and eliminate environmental problems and deepen your understanding of societal demands.
Note: Course can also be studied on part-time basis (6 semesters or 8 semesters in part time)

The languages of instruction for this program are German and English. This means that you need to complete modules in both German and English in the course of your studies

German proficiency can also be proven by Qualification Assessment Examination, International Baccalaureate certificate with German at high level, General Higher Education Qualification from a European School in Germany or Diploma from a German educational institution

The Master in Geophysics is a research-oriented programme that offers individual specialisation. Students are often involved in international research projects that include field studies and offer an opportunity to further the experience already gained during Bachelor studies.

The Master degree program Neurosciences is a research-oriented, international degree program with the main goal of providing talented students with a comprehensive education in the rapidly expanding field of neurosciences. Neurosciences

Master degree program in Astrophysics  helps students to learn how to approach astrophysical problems and apply research methods to solve these problems, transcending the existing state of knowledge if necessary. Ecosystem Sciences

University of Göttingen

The Master program in Forest and Ecosystem Sciences provide hands-on approaches to tackle burning current issues such as global change, climate warming, land use change, species loss and biodiversity treats. The studies cover ecosystems analysis and modelling with in-depth training in Advanced programming, data analysis as well as theoretical ecology and practical conservation management. Research-based training on terrestrial ecosystems function from molecules to landscape level and laboratory methods in ecosystems sciences and sustainable management of tropical and international forests where students together prepare an interdisciplinary management plan on-site. The Master programme in Artificial Intelligence will provide students with skills and in-depth knowledge in the fields of machine learning, neural networks, and reinforcement learning.
