The packaging, regardless of the material and for which product, has meanwhile become ubiquitous and taken for granted. Very few are aware of the small technical marvels they are holding in their hands and how much know-how is behind them. Every food is different and is therefore produced and packaged differently. The development of packaging that ensures that the product tastes good and looks good even weeks later brings together a wide range of disciplines such as materials and their sustainability, business administration, design, process engineering, robotics and microbiology. The topics of sustainability and recycling will become even more important in the future.
In the Bachelor degree, you will acquire the scientific and practical expertise to develop packaging that meets these diverse requirements.
Note: If you start your studies in the summer semester, you will study in the StudyFLEX program. What does StudyFLEX mean? The basic course is stretched from 2 to 3 semesters and supplemented by supporting events (bridging courses, tutorials, mentoring, study advice, orientation in the professional field). The originally 7-semester course is thus designed for 8 semesters, in which 210 cp are acquired. At the beginning of your studies, you gain time to refresh your scientific basis, to develop your learning strategy and to get to know the professional field. 

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Master degree in Management prepares you for your future as a manager in business and teaches you the management skills you need to take on management tasks. This includes technical and analytical expertise as well as analytical and quantitative methodological skills that help you to deal with professional challenges. In addition to the technical focus, the Management course aims at your social and personal development. In particular, this includes the ability to work together with others in a goal-oriented manner in interdisciplinary, cross-functional and international teams and to take on management tasks.
