The Semester contributions totaling 194.30 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Administration fee 70 EUR, Student Union fee 110.30 EUR and Constituted student body fee 14 EUR
Students from the EU and the EEA, or international students who obtained their Abitur or equivalent in Germany, are also not required to pay tuition fee and second degree students have to pay 650 EUR
Applicants need to have a Bachelor degree in Social Sciences to be admitted to the Master program in Sociology (M.A.). A degree in a different field is sufficient if it is recognized as equivalent by the admissions committee. The following requirements must be met: a total of 180 ECTS credits or a standard period of study of six semesters, a final grade of 2.5 or better, and sound knowledge of methods of empirical social research and statistics (grade: 2.5 or better).
Following are the criteria taken into account during selection process: (current) grade average achieved in your Bachelor degree (10 percent), letter of motivation (30 percent), and sample of written work in German or English (60 percent).
Following are accepted as proof of language proficiency: attendance of English classes during the final years of German secondary school education with a minimum of 11 points achieved on average (according to the selection statutes, this evidence may not be older than 5 years)
Or a higher education entrance qualification from a school with English as the language of instruction
Or the successful completion of a program of study at a higher education institution with English as the language of instruction and examination
Applicants have to submit APS certificate if they have acquired qualification in China, India or Vietnam
Applicants requesting hardship exemptions has to upload necessary documents
