In the Master program Expanded media Creating media experiences that have an impact on users' real lives and can bring about real changes is what the English-language Master programme 'Expanded Media' is all about. The Master in Management (MIM) program combines applied coursework and research on the latest business and international management theories with the development of practice focused skills through internships and a social impact project.

The innovative M.Sc. programme Clean Energy Processes is enabling students
to deepen their knowledge in chemical engineering  process engineering and
electrical engineering while allowing students to choose one of two specialisations. In the specialisation „energy technologies“  fundamental methods for the
development and implementation of new technologies for the generation and
conversion of renewable energies are studied in-depth. In the field of study „energy systems“  competencies are acquired in particular in the application areas

In addition  students work at two or three different institutions and thus familiarize themselves with a variety of research methods currently in use. This part of the programme also trains the students' ability to apply the methods about which they have read in the course literature independently.

Molecular Medicine

The Master of Science in Health Sciences provides participants with the scientific and practical skills to undertake research in the field of health sciences. As an interdisciplinary programme  the course trains students to interact with healthcare practitioners  policymakers  public administrators  healthcare funders  NGO staff  industry managers and diverse population groups in order to drive informed and evidence-based decision-making and promote equity in health and healthcare. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of research methods and their use in the fields of healthcare  disease prevention and health promotion  as well as experience in empirical  data-based research.

Lectures are held in English (only in exceptional cases in German). The research semester (third semester) will be undertaken in Germany and therefore requires very good German skills. The Master thesis will be written in English. In exceptional cases  it can be written in German.

This program seeks students to enhance students’ knowledge of pharmaceutical products and processes in response to industry needs  especially in pharmaceutical production and development.The Pharmaceutical Technology  Purification Techniques  Cell Culture Systems and Bioanalytics modules follow the typical sequence of development of a new active ingredient in the pharmaceutical industry. In this way  you will learn to recognise the links between the identification  production and administration of active substances  come to understand the meaning of pharmacological parameters  and engage with quality control and quality assurance for developed products. The language of instruction and assessment is English  but German is spoken in all laboratories and is the predominant language in use at HAW Hamburg.
