Brand Academy - Hochschule für Design und Kommunikation was founded in 2010 but later changed its name to Brand University of Applied Sciences in 2019. Brand University of Applied Sciences is a state recognized and accredited university. Training courses at Brand University of Applied Sciences are all about adding value through brands. The university offers Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees . For a bachelor's degree, there are majors in Brand Management (German-speaking), Communication Design and Digital Design (German-speaking). The English-language Brand Innovation master's program is divided into the areas of marketing, design and entrepreneurship. A prerequisite for the course is a general higher education entrance qualification recognized in Hamburg, a technical college entrance qualification, a suitable subject-specific advanced training examination as a master craftsman or business administrator or an equivalent subject-specific advanced training examination. In addition, proof of special aptitude is required by successfully completing an entrance examination. The course begins twice a year on April 1st and October 1st. The standard period of study is 6 semesters for the full-time bachelor's courses and 3 semesters for the master's courses. Students at Brand University of Applied Sciences learn how to design, communicate, present, and manage brands from an international team of experienced professors, lecturers, experts, and practitioners. They learn in real-world settings and in small seminar groups, ensuring intensive personal support.
