Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology 

Catalyst is a learning institute for creative arts and technology based in Berlin's extraordinary Funkhaus. Electronic music production and performance, audio and music production, sound engineering, film production, filmmaking, visual effects, and acting are all courses available at the institute. The courses range from four-week summer courses for beginners to bachelor and master degree programs validated by their UK university partner. The University has been providing world-class creative production training in the UK for over 20 years and in Berlin for over 7 years under their previous brand names, dBs Music Berlin and dBs Film Berlin. Of course, students learn theory that supports and enriches their practice. But doing is more important, and the institute believes it is their responsibility to provide students with at least some of the ten thousand hours of deliberate practice that Anders Ericsson's research suggests we all require in order to become true experts.
