Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW Berlin), also known as the University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Economics, is the largest public university of applied sciences in Berlin and Eastern Germany. It is home to over 13,000 students and offers 75 programs in engineering, computer science, business, culture, and design. HTW Berlin has one of the highest proportions of international students in Germany, at 26.4%. Doctorates are awarded by the HTW Berlin in some research-intensive and innovative departments. HTW Berlin currently has two campuses located in the eastern part of Berlin. One is the Campus Treskowallee located in Berlin-Karlshorst and the other one is the Campus Wilhelminenhof located in Berlin-Oberschöneweide. With nearly 14,000 students, the HTW Berlin stands for demanding studies, qualified graduates, and practical research. As Berlin's largest applied sciences university, it leverages the breadth of its more than 70 courses in technology, computer science, economics, law, culture, and design to foster networked collaboration. Classic disciplines such as mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, and business administration are represented, as are more recent courses such as health electronics, game design, and professional IT business. Rankings confirm the HTW Berlin regularly has a high quality of training. The researchers at HTW Berlin contribute their ideas, expertise, and contacts to more than 250 thematically diverse third-party funded projects each year, which are usually carried out in cooperation with partners from industry.
