The Munich University of Applied Sciences (HM) was founded in 1971 and is the largest university of applied sciences in Bavaria, with approximately 18,000 students, and one of the largest in Germany. Campus Lothstraße, Campus Pasing, and Campus Karlstraße are the three campuses of the university. HM employs approximately 500 professors, 700 part-time lecturers, and 511 non-academic staff. HM works with over 200 universities in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. International students account for 13% of the total student body.
HM offeres students with 85 Bachelor's and Master’s degree programmes across 14 departments. They provide degree programs and active academic collaboration in MINT subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and engineering), business, social sciences, public health, and architecture and design. The Department of General and Interdisciplinary Studies is unique in that it provides each student with a cross-disciplinary education while also helping them develop personal skills.
HM provides and develops individualised study approaches and options for applicants from a variety of educational backgrounds, thereby providing a variety of paths for lifelong learning and studying. Hochschule München provides excellent applied and research-based teaching in four areas: bachelor's degrees for school leavers and professionals, master's degrees and doctoral degrees, continuing education and life-long learning in all fields, and finally applied research.
