German public university of applied sciences Pforzheim University. Before it developed into one of the most significant and research-focused institutions of applied sciences in Germany, it was founded in Pforzheim to satisfy the demand for specialists in the jewelry industry and science. With associated institutes dispersed around Pforzheim, the campus' primary buildings are situated in the southern section of the city (Tiefenbronner Straße). One of just eleven universities in Germany to have obtained AACSB accreditation is the Pforzheim University Business School.
56% of students are enrolled in the School of Business, 33% in the School of Engineering, and 11% in the School of Design. A wide variety of courses in jewellery, accessory design, visual communication, industrial design, transportation design, etc. are available through the university at DESIGN PF. Among others ENGINEERING PF offers study programmes in the field of electrical engineering, information technology, business and engineering, mechatronics, medical engineering, mechanical engineering, technical information technology, etc. Purchasing and logistics, marketing, market and communication research, finance and accounting, management, business information systems, and other services are provided by BUSINESS PF.
In addition to these bachelors’ programs, the university also has master degrees programs including Master of Business Administration (MBA) which has an incredibly high ranking among German universities. The Master Programme MBA in International Management (full-time) is the first state-accredited MBA program which combines general management education, marketing, and managerial skills to face global challenges.
Pforzheim University has supported exchange programs with international partner universities for more than 40 years. About 100 multilateral agreements with worldwide partner universities in about 50 different countries are supported by Pforzheim University for student exchange. The MBA students have the chance to spend their third semester studying at one of the partner universities.
