Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) (German: Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten) is a public university in the city of Weingarten, in the southern part of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The university was founded in 1962. Applied Physics and Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Automotive and Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Business & Technology Management, as well as Social Work and Healthcare Management, are among the advanced fields that the university tracks. Today, Ravensburg-Weingarten University offers 35[2] undergraduate and graduate degree programs in German and English in four faculties: The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Technology and Management and the Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing. RWU employs 296 academic and administrative staff members. The university offers some courses leading to a double graduation with a bachelor's degree in Engineering and an additional possibility to obtain a university degree in Teaching at professional schools in collaboration with the nearby Weingarten University of Education, which focuses on teachers' education. RWU is home to a large international student body. There are several English and German courses available for both regular degree-seeking students and exchange students to select from. The coordination of incoming and departing motion is a part of International office. This covers the guidance and supervision of full-time international students as well as the transfer of students, teachers, and personnel from RWU to other universities abroad. According to the CHE ranking, which is published weekly by the influential German newspaper Die Zeit, RWU frequently ranks among the top universities in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering as well as computer science.
