Through scientific training, the Ruhr Campus Academy (RCA) gGmbH supports science and research. It is a non-profit division of the Förderverein Universität Duisburg-Essen eV and the University of Duisburg-Essen. It helps researchers to put new training into practice. The RCA creates the environment for effective learning processes for participants and students, satisfying the needs of both scientists and participants. She creates the framework for courses and virtual classrooms to achieve this.
RCA programs combine scientific soundness with practical relevance offering 4 part-time Masters degree courses and 5 Certificate courses. The training sessions take a behind-the-scenes approach and cast doubt on commonplace beliefs and urban legends. Students can enroll in courses leading to state-recognized academic degrees, such as the "Master of Science," on the one hand. Additionally, they are permitted to enroll in courses for which they will either obtain a certificate from the University of Duisburg-Essen or a certificate of attendance.
Their training programs' ideas and information are sound scientifically and are based on recent study findings. Scientific methods and paradigms should encourage critical reflection. Learning materials from many viewpoints should be illuminated and connected through interdisciplinarity. In order to do this, the RCA collaborates with study directors and lecturers who possess the necessary scientific, didactic, and content-related competencies.
The Ruhr Campus Academy encourages the application of scientific findings. When further training is being planned, the advantage for professional practice is already taken into consideration. Participants' and students' acquired competencies, skills, and information ought to be applicable in the workplace. They create continuing education programs taking into account the requirements of working participants.
