The Stuttgart Media University or Media University (German: Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart or Hochschule der Medien) is a state university of media studies in Stuttgart, Germany. The Hochschule für Druck und Medien and the Hochschule für Bibliotheks- und Informationswesen were combined to become it in 2001. HdM offers In addition to 17 Bachelor´s degree courses and 12 Master´s degree program HdM offers 4 continuing education programs.
The University's three faculties—Faculty of Printing and Media, Faculty of Electronic Media, and Faculty of Information and Communication—offer bachelor's and master's degrees. In association with affiliated universities, it additionally provides a PhD. The institution offers courses in every aspect of media, including print, the Internet, design, business administration, library science, advertising, packaging technology, content for media, computer science, information science, publishing, and electronic media. Around 30 accredited bachelor's and master's degree programs reflect this content. Around 5500 students are currently enrolled at the university.
Members of the Hochschule der Medien have the chance to participate in cross-cultural exchange thanks to our many foreign connections. Universities from Belgium, Germany, Scotland, and Sweden worked together on the unique, EU-funded Intercultural Design Camp. The Hochschule der Medien' regional ERASMUS program, the HdM Exchange Network, entrusts students with the responsibility of supporting visiting students from other countries. The network assists exchange students and plans a variety of events for them.
The International Office serves as the point of contact for collaboration with 120 partner universities, along with the creation, maintenance, and coordination of international contacts. Students who would like to complete a portion of their studies abroad, as well as academics and staff members who wish to complete a stay abroad, receive thorough guidance and information on contacts, scholarships, and educational possibilities.
