The Bingen Technical University of Applied Sciences (German: Technische Hochschule Bingen) is a university located in Bingen am Rhein, Germany. In 1897, it was founded. The faculty of biological sciences and engineering and the faculty of technology, informatics, and business are both parts of the University of Applied Sciences Bingen.
More than 2,500 students take use of the extensive course selection, which includes a wide range of biological and scientific courses in addition to courses in modern information and communication technologies and classic engineering disciplines. The good infrastructure and the scenic location at the confluence of the Rhine and Nahe were decisive for the choice of location. Since then, practical and futuristic technology training has been made available to students, making Bingen a desirable university site even today.
Engineering sciences, computer and communication technologies, and life sciences are among the roughly 30 courses. Students have access to academic degrees up to a doctorate thanks to the application-oriented research. Through exchange programs or dual degrees, students can add international experience to their skill set. More than 50 universities worldwide collaborate with Bingen Technical University of Applied Sciences. Professors can deliver guest lectures, students can enroll with less onerous entrance requirements, and university employees can schedule stays for training or knowledge exchange.
For more than 120 years, technical and scientific disciplines have been at the core of their competency. The institute has always been a partner to business; therefore it stands for top-notch training and applied research. It lives diversity, too, in the professorships, whether it be classic engineering, contemporary information and communication technology, or biological and natural science courses. Given that the majority of their work involves substantial industrial experience, they have a large number of young lecturers with an extraordinary level of practical relevance.
