The Cologne University of Applied Sciences, often known as TH Köln - University of Applied Sciences (German: Technische Hochschule Köln, abbreviated TH Köln), was founded in 1971 and is a higher education institution in Cologne, Germany. At TH Köln, approximately 6,500 students enroll in classes each year. Approximately 25,000 students from 120 different countries are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs at this time. 1,600 employees and 440 professors also share their potential. Applied natural sciences, architecture, and construction, information and communication, computer science, engineering, culture, society, and social sciences, as well as business studies, are among the subjects they cover. The potential for full-time, part-time, and integrated degree programs is provided by more than 50 undergraduate and 50 graduate programs. The TH Köln has locations in Cologne in Südstadt for humanities faculties, Deutz for engineering faculties, and Mülheim for the Cologne Game Lab. It also runs two campuses, one for computer science in Gummersbach and one for chemistry in Leverkusen. The Department of International Affairs at the TH Köln offers student exchange possibilities with more than 352 partner universities in 94 countries, maintaining close contacts with other universities not only in Germany but also globally. Additionally, the TH Köln is one of the UAS7's seven members, which worldwide represent the top seven German applied science colleges. The University of TH Köln is a research-intensive institution that actively participates in numerous research initiatives. The European Commission honors the TH Köln's high standards for human resources development with the "HR Excellence in Research Award."
