Universität zu Lübeck 

The University of Lübeck is a research institution with a strong emphasis on the medical sciences and related fields. It is located in Lübeck, Northern Germany. The University of Lübeck was established as a stand-alone research facility in Schleswig-Holstein in 1973. They provide degree programs in the natural sciences, engineering, computer science, and medicine. Interdisciplinary programs that combine the scientific sciences, computer science, and medicine provide students with a modern education that is supported by the best possible medical care. Due to faculty cooperation, collaboration with other universities in Lübeck, the Research Center Borstel, the Medical Laser Centre, and local enterprises, the environment for developing and using novel technologies, diagnostics, and therapies are optimal here. The quality of research at their institution, which is now characterized by two specialized fields of study, is strengthened by collaboration with national and international research centers. The Universität zu Lübeck has a small student population (3,400) compared to other institutions, but it has a favourable teacher-to-student ratio. The University of Lübeck is unique in that it is organized into three sections rather than departments or faculties, with the sections of Informatics/Engineering and Natural Sciences coming together under the title MINT. Students may attend the Universität zu Lübeck for one or two semesters while participating in the ERASMUS program.
