Overview

The University of Applied Sciences in Neubrandenburg was established in 1991 and has grown to become a regional academic hub and driving force in teaching, research, and continuing education. It began with two academic programs and 164 students about 25 years ago. There are currently 33 Bachelor's and Master's degrees available from 25 faculties to about 2,100 young people. At the University of Applied Science, research and teaching are conducted using a practical approach. International students have the option to enroll in one or more semesters of study at a university as international student as part of several exchange programs. The student exchange between partner universities across Europe is supported by the ERASMUS+ initiative. The Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences offers the possibility for visiting students from partner universities outside the ERASMUS region to study there for one to two semesters based on current cooperation agreements. In order to enroll in an ERASMUS program at the Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences for one or two semesters, international students from partner universities must submit an application to the international office of their home institution's ERASMUS coordinator. The University of Applied Sciences in Neubrandenburg actively supports efforts to balance family and career or family and studies as a family-friendly institution by establishing family-friendly work and study conditions as well as a social environment that also permits students with families to pursue their studies, work, and research.
