The (Research) Master degree programme in Quantitative Economics (QE) is organized jointly by the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics and the Center for Mathematical Economics (IMW). Its quantitative analytical approach to economics provides the relevant skills to model and solve economic problems on an abstract level and to transfer the analytic solutions to real world applications. This encourages a flexible and creative approach to complex economic issues like those found typically in the real world.
Students can choose between two different tracks of the Master degree programme: The regular programme QE and the international track of QE. Both offer the same contents but the international track includes usually student exchanges at partner universities  because one of the two examiners of the Master thesis needs to be a member of the partner university.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 321.74 EUR must be paid each semester it includes Semester ticket 153.89 EUR, Studierendenwerk 91.00 EUR, NRW - Ticket 58.50 EUR and General contribution 18.35 EUR

provides the necessary education, opening doors to leadership and consulting
positions in international companies. The goal is to identify changes in the
business environment and optimize a company’s competitive positioning in the
marketplace.FHM’s Master of Business Administration and Technology is designed to
prepare program graduates for top-management positions in innovative companies.
The MBA General Technology Management program addresses these requirements
through solid academic contents and a high degree of practical application in close
cooperation with international firms. 

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Language pre-requisites for international applicants includes Proof of German language skills

Applicants whose bachelor’s degree was made up of less than 210 credit points can be admitted to the programme under certain conditions. The Applicants has to successfully complete modules adding up to the difference between the credit points gained in the bachelor’s degree and 210 CP. These specific modules are to be defined by an admission committee.

The federal state of Hamburg has recognized the European Distance University Hamburg through the authority for science, research, equality, and districts (BWFGB). This ensures that their degrees are completely equivalent to degrees from state universities of applied sciences.  You study at the Euro-FH in accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). If you already have a university degree or have passed exams at another university, the Euro-FH can credit these when you apply. The credits will be credited to you, shortening your path to a university degree. With regard to the qualifications of the teaching staff, the study directors are predominantly professors at state universities. They fulfill the qualification criteria for technical college teachers in a remarkably qualified manner.

The University of Applied Sciences in Neubrandenburg was established in 1991 and has grown to become a regional academic hub and driving force in teaching, research, and continuing education. It began with two academic programs and 164 students about 25 years ago.

There are currently 33 Bachelor's and Master's degrees available from 25 faculties to about 2,100 young people. At the University of Applied Science, research and teaching are conducted using a practical approach.

International students have the option to enroll in one or more semesters of study at a university as international student as part of several exchange programs.

The student exchange between partner universities across Europe is supported by the ERASMUS+ initiative. The Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences offers the possibility for visiting students from partner universities outside the ERASMUS region to study there for one to two semesters based on current cooperation agreements.
