The international Master Program World Studies: Orders  Politics  Cultures provides students with in-depth knowledge of global structures and interactions. It aims at examining political and cultural processes at a world scale from an interdisciplinary perspective. We engage with international orders  the complex inter-relations between international actors  the global dissemination of ideas and knowledge  as well as diverging and converging modes of understanding in intercultural contexts. We understand ‘orders’ as stable settings gathering the parts and a whole (e.g.  in the sense of multi-level governance and international legal systems). ‘Politics’ is concerned with the regulation of societies in transnational contexts. ‘Cultures’ refers to disputed interpretations  practices  and values pertaining to these orders and politics.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC) is a research and education center in intellectual property and competition law based in Munich, Germany. It was founded in 2003. The MIPLC is a collaboration between the Law School at George Washington University and three top-notch German institutions: the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, the University of Augsburg, and the Technical University of Munich (TUM). In addition, the MIPLC organizes scientific conferences. 
 
 Because of its international faculty and students from all over the world, the MIPLC offers a truly international and interdisciplinary experience. Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences was renamed RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (German: Hochschule RheinMain), a public university in the state of Hesse with campuses in Wiesbaden and Rüsselsheim am Main.  The five main faculties are broken up into study area.
