Stralsund University of Applied Sciences was founded on September 1, 1991. It is a public university of applied sciences in Stralsund, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, with a focus on technology and business. It It is a campus institution, with all of its faculties grouped together in the Knieper Nord neighborhood in the city's north, just beside the Strelasund. Apartments are available on campus in the student community of Holzhausen from the Studierendenwerk Greifswald. On campus, there are additional athletic facilities, a library, and an observatory.
