In 1967, it changed its status from a trade school to a university, marking a two-century transition from its founding as a trade school. 21,033 students were enrolled in 61 bachelor's study programs and 98 master's study programs at the University of Stuttgart for the summer semester of 2022. The University of Stuttgart employed 5505 individuals as of December 1st, 2021.
