The University of Tübingen has a global network of research and exchange partners on both a bilateral and international basis. Its main concern is the globalization of research. This is something it has also stated in its future concept, which the Excellence Strategy supports. The institution implemented its worldwide plan, named "Raising Global Awareness," by the end of 2021. It has 575 international partner universities, 3,622 International students, 19% international researchers, and 303 funded EU projects Tübingen is one of five traditional "university towns" in Germany. It does not have a campus; rather, it is dispersed across the town. Marburg, Göttingen, Freiburg, and Heidelberg make up the other four. The general public can use the University Library of Tübingen in addition to university students, faculty, and staff. More than three million individual books and more than 7,600 journals are available in the library. In addition to the main library, the university is also home to more than 80 departmental libraries with a combined total of three million volumes.
