Both its employees and students frequently refer to it as TiHo. Research at the TiHo focuses on studying and for animals, as well as translating that knowledge to study humans. The TiHo's primary areas of interest include: • Infection medicine with neuroinfectiology • Animal health and food quality The TiHo fosters a lot of connections abroad. Currently, there are collaborations and partnerships with veterinary medical schools from 29 different countries and 37 foreign colleges. There is a high demand for the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Foundation's program of study. Each year, more over 1,000 applications compete for approximately 250 undergraduate spots.
