Their education is in the Master programme „Media  Technology and Society“. The graduates are experts in the development  planning  implementation and evaluation of new forms of communication  media and study methods for journalism  marketing and communication.  The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) is Germany's first higher education institution to combine academic studies with on-the-job training. DHBW was founded on March 1, 2009, and its origins can be traced back to the Berufsakademie Baden-Wurttemberg. Today, the university continues the tradition of phenomenally successful and cooperative education.

One of the fourteen public research institutions in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia is Paderborn University (German: Universität Paderborn). The institution was established in 1972, and 20,308 students were enrolled there for the winter semester of 2016–2017. There are 62 distinct degree programs available. The main campus is in Paderborn, near Warburger Straße. Two dorms for students are owned by Paderborn University, and both are located close to the main campus.
