Scientific Computing

Master in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering (MSc) is a multidisciplinary program that offers a possibility to gain a broad knowledge in both biotechnological processes and classical chemical engineering. Close collaboration of these disciplines is a special feature of the engineering departments at TU Hamburg in both education and research. Apart from the basic knowledge in biological and biocatalytic processes, separation technologies, mechanical and reaction engineering, Master students will get an insight into the most challenging problems on the boundaries between these disciplines and participate in the collaborative research of several departments.
Note: All Master of Science degree programs at the TU Hamburg can be studied dual. The study concept combines complete university studies with professional practice in the engineering field. The students are employed by one of our cooperating companies and, as cohorts across study programs, represent the entire spectrum of engineering sciences. The program is rounded off by seminars on the development of social skills, so that graduates can face the challenges of the working world in a responsible manner.

The Semester contributions totaling 338.80 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student self-administration (AStA) fee 18.40 EUR, Student Union fee 85.00 EUR, Semester Ticket fee 182.40 EUR, Semester Ticket hardship fee 3.00 EUR and Administration fee 50 EUR

Following test results can serve as proof of English proficiency: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) or UNIcert Level III

Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering

Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH)

Master in Mechanical Engineering and Management iis well suited for those who are interested in technologies and management at the same time. The Competencies will be trained actually in mechatronics, product development and production, materials, associated to management Competencies. It is planned to add more transport systems related specialization to address more future oriented aspects. If you are more a generalist and somebody who likes to coordinate and work as an architect or integrator you are here at the right side.
Note: There is a chance for top scorer to earn the degree of an MBA at our NIT.

Mechanical Engineering and Management

In the Entrepreneurship Master you will be trained for business management: Whether founding, developing or establishing a successful start-up. From the first business idea to the mature business plan, you will develop business models in practical projects and thus be optimally prepared for entering the start-up ecosystem.
Course is also available in Fast Track basis. Under fast track basis, semester abroad is omitted and you shorten your internship period. This allows you to complete your Master degree in only 3 semesters with 90 ECTS.
Note: In the Entrepreneurship program you can earn an international double degree. With the double degree, in addition to the Master degree at ISM, you also earn a Master degree at an international partner university. Depending on the partner university, this is even possible as part of the integrated semester abroad, which means that you receive two Master degrees in two or two and a half years.

Students from EU and EWR have to pay an enrollment fee of 600 EUR and Non-EU-students have to pay 1500 EUR

English language proficiency can also be proven as follows:  Cambridge (FCE) test score or a degree in English Studies or at least 30 ECTS in an English-language higher education program or a native speaker (will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)

International School of Management (ISM)

The full-time MBA in General Management is a classic one-year MBA degree in the area of general business management. The ISM MBA in General Management program enables students to expand their business administration and management knowledge and creates the ideal prerequisites for a management or executive position in business.

MBA General Management (Full Time)

The Young Professional MBA course at GSB Mainz is a general management program that offers courses and case studies with practical content. It is aimed at young professionals and prepares students for a management career. The program expands basic theoretical knowledge and combines it with practical knowledge to prepare for the challenges in international companies and also creates an understanding of the complex intertwining of macroeconomic processes - both in the context of the individual company and with a view to the global economy.

The Semester contributions totaling 337.39 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Semester ticket fee 226.14 EUR, Student union fee 94.00 EUR, Constituted student body fee 13.10 EUR, Student sports committee general university sports fee 1.60 EUR and Student aid fund  AStA (General Student Committee) fee 2.55 EUR

Proof of at least five years study in English language at school with a final grade of sufficient or 5 point, Cambridge FCE, is also accepted as proof of language proficiency

Mathematics International is a research-oriented Master programme that aims at students with special interest in mathematics as a scientific discipline who want to acquire a broad and deep knowledge of the field. International Mathematics

Biochemistry deals with the molecular basis of life processes and their systematic and quantitative analysis. In order to understand complex interrelationships of life on a cellular and molecular level, a comprehensive understanding of the "classic" subjects of chemistry, biology, physics and medicine is essential today. The aim of this Master course is to bridge the gap between these areas in order to enable students to be optimally prepared for the expanding and future-oriented field of molecular life sciences.

Biochemistry

Based on current research topics in this program biophysical methods and corresponding applications are presented. Fundamentals in thermodynamics, reaction kinetics and molecular interactions in general as well as with respect to analysis of single cells down to single molecules are discussed. Students acquire theoretical aspects and principles in biophysics, cell biology, developmental biology, microbiology, bioinformatics. Using bioinformatics tools, they learn to use computer based approaches to address and resolve problems in these biophysical area of ​​research. Students are able to review and expand their knowledge of standard molecular and biophysical techniques.
