Course Details

The academic concept of the BA degree program in English is fundamentally based on the structure of the new European philologies, which are defined by the interaction of their individual subject areas of literary studies, cultural studies, linguistics and language practice as well as their stringent cooperation. The discipline of British Cultural Studies deals with the cultural processes of British and Irish societies and their representations in art and media. The focus is on dealing with texts, whereby a broad text term applied here, which includes such different cultural products as films, social media, print media, music, advertising and fashion.
