The Master in Engineering and Sustainable Technology Management - Smart Building Technologies programme will make you learn how to make buildings smarter and more sustainable. Students get to expand their knowledge in the areas of building information modeling and automation, as well as decentralised energy supply. In addition, students will be able to develop your project, communication and intercultural skills through projects. Apart from getting technological expertise, students also get to develop their soft skills and personality. This programme helps students in becoming an expert in technology management and digital building infrastructure. After finishing their studies students will know how sustainable and smart solutions can have a lasting impact on building infrastructure. This project and skill-based approach prepares students for demanding management positions around the globe.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The topic of digitization is not only considered as an isolated individual topic, but in an integrated perspective with aspects such as customer perspective, corporate management/strategy perspective, process perspective, competitive perspective and technology perspective. This MA is intended for Bachelor graduates in business administration, as well as for industrial engineers, business informatics specialists and computer scientists. And since start-ups are not the only relevant field for digitization, but are drivers of such developments in many industries, the second focus of the MA program is on the field of entrepreneurship - which makes it even more unique in Germany and in the European environment course was created.

The Master program in Urban Design brings together architecture, urban and regional planning, sociology, and landscape architecture. In cooperation with Tongji University in Shanghai, China, students have the opportunity to complete the degree program Urban Design as a double Master degree (dual degree program). Participants in the special program study together for one year in Berlin and for one year in Shanghai.

The Master program of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology focuses on modern aspects of the science and technology of nanoscopic systems, ranging from basic knowledge to applications and devices. It was designed to bridge the gap between nanoscience and Nanotechnology. The part related to nanoscience includes chemical preparation of nano-scale compounds and their characterization by physical methods, while the part related to nanotechnology is focused to devices, e.g. nano-electronics and photonic devices based on nano-scale structures.

The Semester contributions totalling 284.50 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Semester ticket including the NRW-Ticket fee 178.00 EUR, Soli-EUR fee 3.00 EUR, Social contribution of Student union fee 90.50 EUR and AStA contribution fee 13.00 EUR
