Master

The MA in American Studies is an interdisciplinary programme that combines approaches from the humanities and social sciences. The focus of the programme is on examining society, culture, history, literature and politics in the United States and their respective positioning in international and intercultural contexts. This examination occurs on the basis of an in-depth consideration of the interdisciplinary methodology and theory of American studies. The interdisciplinary nature of American studies is reflected in the structure of the modules.

Once you have formally applied via uni-assist, your application will be forwarded to our International Centre. We will then send an email containing login details for our AlmaWeb study portal. Once the application procedure is complete, this portal is where we will make your electronic letter of admission available if your application was successful

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The MSc International Areas Studies - Global Change Geography focuses on today’s major international challenges.These include, opportunities and risks of globalisation, perspectives of the world economy, emergence and effects of international conflicts, land use change and Its ecological impact, dealing with limited resources and climate change with Its consequences. With the MSc International Area Studies – Global Change Geography you have the opportunity to study and critically analyse these and other aspects on the basis of an interdisciplinary, closely linked range of subjects, both conceptually and in the actual regional context. 

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Applied North American Studies program provides specialized knowledge of the United States and Canada in three disciplines - history, cultural studies, literary studies (humanities profile) or political science, sociology, and economics (social science profile). Students select two of the above disciplines for subject specialization (e.g., sociology and economics). Biochemistry

Heidelberg University

The Master in Finance expands your knowledge in the areas of accounting, taxation, financial law, controlling and financial rating and trains you to become an expert in financial management. The program will sensitize you to current finance-related topics, enabling you to develop a comprehensive understanding of the interrelations between markets.
Course is also available in Fast Track basis. Under fast track basis, semester abroad is omitted and you shorten your internship period. This allows you to complete your Master degree in only 3 semesters with 90 ECTS.
Note: In financial management, you have the opportunity to acquire an international double degree. In addition to the ISM Master degree, the double degree also entitles you to a Master degree from an international partner university. Depending on the partner university, this is even possible during your integrated semester abroad. You can earn two Master degrees in two or two and a half years.

Students from EU and EWR have to pay an enrollment fee of 600 EUR and Non-EU-students have to pay 1500 EUR

English language proficiency can also be proven as follows:  Cambridge (FCE) test score or a degree in English Studies or at least 30 ECTS in an English-language higher education program or a native speaker (will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)
