The “Master of Arts in Development Economics and International Studies” (MA DEIS) is an economics-centered program designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of students planning to work in or seek leadership responsibilities in public  non-profit  and private sector organizations for international cooperation and development. It is also aimed at students intending to work at the intersection between research and practice and at those pursuing an academic career in study-related subjects.

It is a two-year (four-semester) program and includes rigorous training in analytical as well as qualitative and quantitative methods. In particular  with the increasing availability of micro data (e.g. household- or firm-level data) and the importance of evidence-based policy making  students learn how to do applied empirical work in (development) economics  with a special emphasis on impact evaluations. This includes both experimental methods  such as randomized field experiments  and quasi-experimental methods. The program hence provides students with the skills to understand much of the empirical literature in development economics. Also  and importantly  as part of this training  students will become acquainted with the statistical software Stata  with the aim to enable students to do their own empirical analyses.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Semester contributions totaling 127 EUR includes student services 52 EUR and Purchase the “basic ticket” for public transportation 75 EUR

The Master program Creative Technologies combines audio-visual media technologies and software development studies with an artistic-creative exploration of novel forms of expression in film and digital media art. Creative-artistic computer scientists as well as technically oriented media designer come together in the context of the Film University to experiment with technology  creativity and film with an interdisciplinary approach.

Focus are all mechanisms that contribute to the magic of movies: from graphics  sound and visual effects over traditional production processes to novel forms of storytelling in XR (Virtual Reality  Mixed Reality  Augmented Reality)  cross-media  and interactive.

All applicants to B.A. and M.A. programs must apply online via the university's application portal.

Since 2006, AIHE GmbH, formerly known as ALP Akademisches Lehrinstitut für Psychologie GmbH, has provided scientific further education on behalf of universities and institutions of higher learning. AIHE GmbH belongs to the company the GENSEL GROUP (founded in 2002).  With a focus on application orientation, AIHE's teaching in its further education master's degree courses offers a professional connection between science and practice. Students can therefore behave more deliberately and with a stronger scientific foundation by observing which theories and models are already present and functional in their day-to-day work without being aware of it.

In collaboration with universities and other higher education institutions both domestically and abroad, AIHE GmbH assists in the design and delivery of master's degree programs and teaching courses. Students enroll at the appropriate partner university, which also confers the academic degree. Additionally, quality control is carried out in close cooperation with the partner institution. AIHE GmbH provides organizational, financial, and conceptual help. AIHE GmbH provides student assistance, instruction, examination acceptance and evaluation, and master's dissertation evaluation.

Only if the transfer from practice to theory has already occurred can the transfer of theory to practice be successful. And this is where the expertise of GENSEL GROUP is useful. In order to attain a high level of application orientation, the collective experiences of GENSEL GROUP personnel are used in the creation of new degree courses, in addition to many others. 23 permanent and contract employees have joined AIHE GmbH in the last six months, demonstrating the company's success in assembling a strong team.

Many modules are offered as part of an interdisciplinary learning experience by each of the three programs: Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Bachelor of Arts in Interaction Design, and Bachelor of Arts in Product Management. 
 
 Real-world projects are at the heart of their study programs, which are supplemented by seminars and workshops using an advanced flipped-classroom concept. CODE believes in challenge-based learning, in which mentors help students develop competencies, learn how to collaborate, and achieve their full potential. 
 
 All offered courses are grounded on a common competence framework. Upon start, each student receives an individual profile based on their already existing abilities to enhance and develop in their course of studies. From the beginning, students are working project-based and self-regulated in interdisciplinary teams of software developers, interaction designers and product managers. Those projects are created and selected in close cooperation with a number of companies and organisations.
 
 All in all, studying at CODE will definitely be different than any other higher-education experience. As a student, you will not be confronted with pre-selected knowledge but empowered to be a creative problem-solver who knows how to learn.

Finding a room is VERY DIFFICULT around this University. Start ASAP. You are most likely on a waiting list for a student hostel accommodation even if you delay few days.
