The interdisciplinary Master program "History  Economics and Philosophy of Science / Interdisciplinary Studies of Science" (ISoS) focuses on science-reflective studies and is aimed at working out essential characteristics of science and making them explicit. The goal is the analysis of scientific knowledge  Its economic structure and Its integration into the social context in the past and present. The course is aimed on the one hand at bachelor’s graduates in the three basic disciplines of history  economics and philosophy  and on the other hand at graduates from the natural and social sciences who are aiming for a science-reflective deepening of their studies. The training in the ISoS course qualifies the students for independent research work in the field of science research  but at the same time is aimed at imparting important skills for working in various institutions of science administration and science management. 

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

They have had a long-lasting impact on the design of the living environment by introducing new types of art, technology, and science. They created modernity as an answer to the burning questions of their time's art, culture, and society.
 
 Since its renaming in 1996, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar has been an international university based in the unique cultural city of Weimar. The university is a living institution, not a museum. It refers to the great role model for using modern methods to find answers to central questions in art and culture, technology, science, and society. This includes a critical examination of the historical Bauhaus and its impact history, which has been a part of the contradictory history of progress for nearly 100 years.

Goethe University is a university located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was founded in 1914 as a citizens' university, which means it was founded and funded by the wealthy and active liberal citizenry of Frankfurt. The original name was Universität Frankfurt am Main. In 1932, the university's name was extended in honour of one of the most famous native sons of Frankfurt, the poet, philosopher and writer/dramatist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The university currently has around 45,000 students, distributed across four major campuses within the city. The university celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014. 20 Nobel Prize winners have been affiliated with the university, including Max von Laue and Max Born.
 
 Goethe University is now one of Germany's top ten universities. Around 600 students began their studies in Frankfurt with the start of teaching in the winter semester of 1914/15. During the winter semester, Goethe University had over 37,000 students enrolled. Critically committed to its eventful history, the institution is guided by the ideas of the European Enlightenment, democracy and the rule of law and opposes racism, nationalism and anti-Semitism. The Goethe University is a place of argumentative debate where research and teaching are socially responsible.
 
 The teaching and research activities are spread across four campuses rather than one. University of Frankfurt's 16 faculties are now distributed as: the social and educational science faculty on the Bockenheim campus, the natural sciences faculty on the Riedberg campus, the medical faculty on the Niederrad campus, and the former economics, social sciences, law, and philosophy faculties on the Westend campus. Although size is not the same as strength, to the University of Frankfurt, size means diversity and thus harbors enormous potential for the future development of the university.

The Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences is a public university with two campuses. One site is in Magdeburg, the capital city of Saxony-Anhalt, and the other is in Stendal. Since the university's inception in 1991, approximately 50 study programs have been established at three faculties in Magdeburg and two faculties in Stendal. Magdeburg has about 3.700 students and Stendal has about 1.800. The university offers courses in both German and English that lead to academic degrees such as BA, BSc, MA, MSc, and doctoral degrees.
 
 The green campus and modern facilities of Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences offer approximately 6,300 students three departments in Magdeburg and two in Stendal. Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) (German: Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten) is a public university in the city of Weingarten, in the southern part of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The university was founded in 1962. Applied Physics and Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Automotive and Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Business & Technology Management, as well as Social Work and Healthcare Management, are among the advanced fields that the university tracks. 
 
 Today, Ravensburg-Weingarten University offers 35[2] undergraduate and graduate degree programs in German and English in four faculties: The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Technology and Management and the Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing. RWU employs 296 academic and administrative staff members. The university offers some courses leading to a double graduation with a bachelor's degree in Engineering and an additional possibility to obtain a university degree in Teaching at professional schools in collaboration with the nearby Weingarten University of Education, which focuses on teachers' education.

Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences

Technische Universität Dresden, abbreviated as TUD and frequently mistranslated as "Dresden University of Technology," is a public research university that has 32,389 students as of 2018. It is the largest institution of higher learning in the city of Dresden, the largest university in Saxony, and one of the top ten universities in Germany.

The institution is a part of TU9, a grouping of the top nine German technical universities. The institution earned the designation of "University of Excellence" in 2012 as one of eleven German universities that completed the Excellence Initiative successfully. The TU Dresden was successful in each of the German Universities Excellence Initiative's three rounds (Future Concept, Graduate Schools, Clusters of Excellence). There are 14 faculties at TU Dresden. With the exception of the Faculty of Medicine, which has its own campus near the Elbe river east of the city center and the Department of Forestry at Tharandt, almost all faculties are located on the main campus, which is located south of the city center.

The TUD has a solid reputation overseas; around one-eighth of its students are international. Currently, 8.300 people from 70 different nations work at Technische Universität Dresden. Technische Universität Dresden

The University of Erfurt has successfully established itself in the domestic and international academic landscape since its refounding in 1994 with a clear cultural and social scientific profile. It is a centrally placed teaching and research institution with a focus on religion, the humanities and cultural studies, society, and teacher preparation. It has around 6,000 students, about 100 professorships, about 400 academic staff members, and about 300 administrative staff members.

The University encourages the intensive study and multidisciplinary research on its campus in the state capital, near the city center, by facilitating direct communication across its short distances.

The University of Erfurt aspires to communicate its scientific discoveries to society while also setting standards in basic research. In doing so, the Max Weber Centre for Advanced Cultural and Social Studies, the Gotha Research Institutes, and the four faculties—the Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Catholic Theology—contribute their structural and task-related diversity to the overall concept, facilitating interdisciplinary, global, and collaborative research.

The Gotha Research Library, which has one of Germany's largest collections of early modern manuscripts, is part of the university.

In addition to the Erasmus program, the institution collaborates.
