In the Dairy Food Technology course, you will receive the necessary practical and scientific know-how to process complex and easily perishable raw materials into various foods. Our focus is on the raw material milk, but we also deal with alternative, plant-based raw materials. With your degree, you are well prepared for future employment in the dairy, food or pharmaceutical industries. You deal with modern product technology and process technology, durability, hygiene and safety of the products, chemical and microbiological analysis and the economic evaluation of the processes. Important topics are also the packaging and the careful use of resources such as. e.g. B. Energy, raw materials and water. Note: If you start your studies in the summer semester, you will study in the StudyFLEX program. What does StudyFLEX mean? The basic course is stretched from 2 to 3 semesters and supplemented by supporting events (bridging courses, tutorials, mentoring, study advice, orientation in the professional field). The original 7-semester course is thus designed for 8 semesters, in which 210 cp are acquired. At the beginning of your studies, you gain time to refresh your scientific basis, to develop your learning strategy and to get to know the professional field.

The semester fee includes contributions to the Student union fee (halls of residence, university sports), student body fee, Administrative costs and public transport
Student will automatically receive a semester ticket for the use of public transport in Hanover (GVH) as well as regional transport in Lower Saxony
Minimum requirement includes general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or the general technical college entrance qualification (technical college degree) or equivalent.
Applicants can submit military, civil service or federal voluntary service certificate (if applicable, certificate of early release from service)
Evidence of any previous periods of study, including semesters of leave, stating the university semester (certificate of enrollment or de-registration)
if necessary, a stamped postcard addressed to you as confirmation of receipt
if applicable, the evidence required by the admission regulations
Applicants from China, India and Vietnam must also upload APS certificate
