The Master program in E-Government qualifies graduates with regard to the introduction of information and communication technology in various areas of the public sector. It builds on the skills acquired in Bachelor’s degree programs such as Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Management and similar. The Master degree program represents a customized approach to information system design and application as well as to IT management for governments and public administrations.The degree program looks at methods and techniques of holistic information system design of IT applications for use in the public sector, both for e-government applications and for civil participation, and the use of IT in strategic decision-making and public governance.

The Semester contributions totaling 236.20 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Social contribution for the student association 89.00 EUR, Social contribution for AStA 15.00 EUR, Semester ticket 122.20 EUR and UniCard 10.00 EUR (first issue of the new student ID at Koblenz campus)
Students with a Master degree from a German university applying for any Master course will have to pay tuition fees 650 EUR per semester
Minimum requirement includes Bachelor degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science or Information Management or an equivalent degree with the grade ‘Good’ (at least 2.5) or better.
Graduates with the grade ‘Satisfactory’ may be admitted if a positive study prognosis can be assumed.
Applicants from China, Mongolia, India and Vietnam need to submit APS certificate
