Course Details

The Master in Environmental Sciences will enable you to understand and develop solutions for environmental issues. This 2-year degree program combines courses from various disciplines of natural and social sciences and equips you with valuable skills to succeed in your future career. Our professors and lecturers have strong expertise in the various areas of Environmental Sciences in which you can specialise during your Master in Environmental Sciences, from the molecular level to landscape and society. Following the broad compulsory modules during the first semester that lay the foundation, you can choose from eight areas of specialisation: Environmental Analysis, Applied Ecology, socio economics and Environmental Management, Aquatic Systems, Soil Systems, Landscapes and Scales, Modelling and Chemicals in the Environment.

The Semester contributions totaling 170.30 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Social contribution for the student association 95.00 EUR, Social contribution for AStA 15.00 EUR, General Semester Ticket with evening and weekend arrangements 27.50 EUR and UniCard 10.00 EUR (first issue of the new student ID at Landau campus)

Students with a Master degree from a German university applying for any Master course will have to pay tuition fees 650 EUR per semester

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirement includes Bachelor degree in Environmental Sciences (or equivalent program with a focus on natural sciences and applied mathematics) with a minimum final grade of “good” (e.g., 2.5 on a 5.0 point scale with 5.0 being the worst grade or 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale with 4.0 being the best grade).
