In the Master program International Energy Engineering you will learn the necessary engineering contexts, procedures and concepts in an international environment. This will lead to a sound expertise in all areas of environmentally friendly energy engineering, which you can deepen according to your individual inclinations. In the course of your studies, you will mainly work and research in the field of environmentally friendly energy technologies. Furthermore, you will deal with potentials and economic efficiency, supply and demand of energy. Through additional subjects in the field of energy law, innovation management and intercultural competence and communication, you will also expand your competencies in the area of soft skills. Applicants with less than 210 ECTS need to complete a additional bridge semester acquiring 30 ECTS, which increases the course duration by one semester. It is also recommended for applicants with 210 ECTS but not necessary.

In the Master Programme Digital Narratives, media and culture creators gain the necessary tools in theory and practice for a professional career in a field that is constantly changing due to rapid technological developments.
The program’s goal is the training of creative storytellers that Master the narrative formats and production techniques of new digital media and experiment with them, in order to develop innovative formats. The packaging, regardless of the material and for which product, has meanwhile become ubiquitous and taken for granted. Very few are aware of the small technical marvels they are holding in their hands and how much know-how is behind them. Every food is different and is therefore produced and packaged differently. The development of packaging that ensures that the product tastes good and looks good even weeks later brings together a wide range of disciplines such as materials and their sustainability, business administration, design, process engineering, robotics and microbiology. The topics of sustainability and recycling will become even more important in the future.
In the Bachelor degree, you will acquire the scientific and practical expertise to develop packaging that meets these diverse requirements.
Note: If you start your studies in the summer semester, you will study in the StudyFLEX program. What does StudyFLEX mean? The basic course is stretched from 2 to 3 semesters and supplemented by supporting events (bridging courses, tutorials, mentoring, study advice, orientation in the professional field). The originally 7-semester course is thus designed for 8 semesters, in which 210 cp are acquired. The MA Contemporary East Asian Studies (CEAS) is an English-taught social science-based program with a contemporary and interdisciplinary profile. The focus of the program is the theoretical and problem-centered analysis of societies, politics and economies in East Asia and includes intensive training in an East Asian language.

The aim of Bachelor degree Electrical and Electronic Engineering is to prepare students for their professional careers as engineers in the areas that were previously occupied by graduates of the diploma courses in electrical engineering and information technology. Students of the Master degree programme have the opportunity to select specialisations at an early stage of their studies, by choosing between literature and cultural-historical disciplines, or political and social-science-oriented disciplines. Further specialisation provides for in-depth knowledge and pivotal skills, preparing students for careers in the private or public sector or for pursuing Advanced academic degrees.

These processes include economic, religious, political, health, aesthetic and other dimensions of social life. The Master program deepens theoretical, methodological and regional knowledge and equips the students with the tools they need to conduct independent scientific research, to solve complex problems and to present in-depth analysis of socio-cultural issues.

Ethnology

Microelectronics has not only triggered the enormous growth in information and communication technologies but it has also become an important factor in many other areas. In recent years, technologies originally developed for microelectronics have been increasingly applied to the fabrication of miniaturised systems in electromechanical, electro-optical, analytical or biomedical applications. The new discipline is called microsystem technology. The future development will certainly result in the integration of microsystem components with microelectronic devices. In order to be able to cope with this challenge the TUHH has introduced the innovative Master program in microelectronics and microsystems which combines both aspects. The program consists of various required elective courses covering the fields of communication, computer science and signal processing.
