Multimedia Composition

Students in the Master degree programme Transcultural Studies learn about cultural exchange processes, transformations and interweavings between, or in, Asia and Europe. The transregional approach applied in Transcultural Studies questions traditional ideas about cultures in ethnically contained, linguistically homogeneous and territorially limited areas. Transcultural Studies combines theories, methods and research subjects from the humanities, cultural studies and social sciences. Thanks to the strong research-orientation, students gain insights into current transcultural scientific projects and research debates in the offered courses.

Transcultural Studies

To make health services available to those who need them the most, many developing countries need to improve health care policies, to improve efficiency at all levels of organisation, planning and management across the health care system, and to ensure sustainable financing. The Master programme at Heidelberg University has been designed with these factors in mind. The objective of the programme is to provide students with a solid foundation in international public health principles and to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement and run sustainable programmes for disease control, health promotion, and health services development across a wide range of populations and countries.

International Health

Master in Ship and Offshore Technology is designed for graduate engineers in naval architecture, offshore engineering, mechanical engineering and other related disciplines who wish to acquire Advanced knowledge in a broad range of subjects of ship and offshore technologies.
This two-year course is offered jointly with Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), one of Germany's newest and most successful universities. Year 1 is completed at Strathclyde and Year 2 in Hamburg. The award is made in the name of both universities.

The Semester contributions totaling 338.80 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student self-administration (AStA) fee 18.40 EUR, Student Union fee 85.00 EUR, Semester Ticket fee 182.40 EUR, Semester Ticket hardship fee 3.00 EUR and Administration fee 50 EUR

Master in Mechatronics connects and fuse the disciplines of mechanical, electrical and control engineering as well as computer science is the core competence of modern engineering and especially mechatronics. You gain a broad domain knowledge, learn across disciplines and get to know state of the art and current research problems. This enables you to take a holistic view of the technical systems of tomorrow and contribute in realizing them.

The Bachelor of Arts with American studies learn the theoretical fundamentals of the subject as well as practical language skills and intercultural competence. This program intended for students with a wide-ranging interest in the languages, the literature, the cultures, and the history of North American.  American Studies is interdisciplinary and includes literature, culture, history, social policy, and politics. The programme consists of a core with 9 modules and a minor with 10 modules as part of programme structure.

Transatlantic Master Program prepares students for a career in business, administration, diplomacy, policy formulation and research. The international Master program focuses on the comparative analysis of European polity, politics and policy from a transatlantic perspective. The full-time program consists of four semesters, which are completed at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin's prestigious partner universities: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Bath, Sciences Po Grenoble, and Università degli Studi di Siena.

The Semester contributions totaling 315.64 EUR must be paid each semester.
