Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Semester contribution includes 122.20 EUR as student union fee, 70.00 EUR as administrative fee, 12.00 EUR as student union fee, and 11.00 EUR as student card fee (one-time fee at the beginning of your studies)

The Master study programme Materials Science and Engineering offers students a specialised scientific education at a high level and with a research-based focus. The programme deals with the synthesis, characterisation and processing of all functional classes of materials, for example materials for energy generation, biomaterials, thermoelectronics, semiconductors, carbon fibres and organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). The Master Program Physical Biology of Cells and Cell Interactions is based on the mission statement of the Goethe University. Research and teaching take place at an international level and promote the acquisition of an in-depth research-oriented education in the fields of cell biology and physical biology. 
The Master programme provides students with an understanding of fundamental life processes from cell growth, cell to cell communication and differentiation to hormonal, inflammatory, angiogenic signaling and aging. These processes are studied in context of cells, tissues and model organisms. International Innovation Management (Hybrid)

The Master degree of Physics focuses on astrophysics  and astroparticle physics, optical sciences and solid-state physics on the experimental side, and computational and statistical physics, light-matter interaction, quantum gravity, and condensed matter physics on the theoretical side. Joint European Master in Interdisciplinary Mathematics addresses several fields of interest from applied disciplines, specifically in biology and medicine on the one side, and industry and manufacturing on the other side. Our students acquire modelling skills and computational expertise needed to tackle practical problems in those fields, with a wide range of modelling techniques. However, each specialization branch provides more specific skills that are best suited to face problems arising in a selected list of contexts.
Note: All students will spend the first semester at UAQ. For the second semester, the cohort is split into two groups, one spending second semester in Hamburg (TUHH), the other one in Vienna (TUW).
