The Master program genome based system technology course gives access to a new interdisciplinary research field  systems biology  where molecular life science and modern physico-chemical techniques and mathematical-bioinformatic methods synergize.Systems biology comprises a lot of disciplines. In this field biology joins forces with e.g. bioinformatics  mathematics and physics. The common target is to understand the functionality of cells  organs or even complete organisms.
With a Master degree in "Genome Based Systems Biology" you can e.g. work on biotechnological projects  study diseases or investigate alternative forms of energy. You are well prepared for a career as well in science as in economy.
This research oriented Master course  with less than 18 students per academic year  enables an intensive supervision and sufficient time to learn the use of complex instruments and evaluate and analyze complex data.

Genome Based Systems Biology

The program Urban design revitalization historic cities districts focus of development of historic cities in Europe and in the MENA region is until today one of the most important challenges for sustainable urban development. A vivid inner city with a historic core shapes the image and the identity of the city and is the catalyst for developments in the whole town. The benefit of renewal and revitalization of inner city areas is never reduced just to the inhabitants and stakeholders of a certain quarter  but extends into surrounding areas and to the town as a whole. Accordingly  in urban development nothing is more sustainable than a vital inner city. This thesis is correct for both shrinking cities in Germany and metropolitan areas in the MENA region. Rehabilitation processes require an integrated approach  finally fixed in the urban form  and guidelines that guarantee stability and continuity for all further development.

The International Master in “Physical Activity and Health” programme provides graduate students with knowledge and practical experience in the field of physical activity and health promotion. Its areas of emphasis are physical activity and exercise for disease prevention and rehabilitation. Students are trained in: conceptualization of intervention strategies  programme implementation within specific settings and/or target groups (e.g. vulnerable groups such as the chronically ill or ethnic minorities)  quality assurance  and scientific evaluation..

Step 1:
As a first step  you should send your application documents as one PDF-File by Email (sport-mapah@fau.de) directly to the Department of Sport Science and Sport. Please do not use the application portal of our university! You will receive a confirmation Email that we have received your application within three working days. Applications will be reviewed by the Department within 6 weeks of receiving the complete application package. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the evaluation process by Email.

Step 2:
As a second step  applicants who have passed the evaluation by the Department of Sport Science and Sport will be asked to take part in the formal admission process conducted by the central university administration. Applicants will receive assistance guiding them through the formal application process. One important thing is changing: From January 2022  it will no longer be necessary to submit hard copies of your documents (certificates  language certificates  etc.). The entire process of step 1 and step 2 will be done online using electronic documents! The central university administration will conduct a formal check of the applicants' degree certificates. Applicants who pass this second evaluation process will receive an official letter of admission to the MA Programme in Spring/Summer.

For international applicants:
As international (i.e. non-European Union) students will need the formal admission letter in order to apply for a visa to Germany  these applicants are strongly encouraged to file their application with the Department of Sport Science as soon as possible.

If the application to the Department of Sport Science and Sport (Step 1) is submitted later than in February 2022  the full two-step application procedure may not be completed on time to receive a visa for the 2022 fall term.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Applicants not providing CEFR B2 level language certificates may have to take an additional English language exam at the University Language Center prior to enrollment  regardless of the score achieved in other language tests

International Education Management (INEMA) is an extra-occupational, international Master Program is a joint program of the Department of International Educational Leadership and Management of the Ludwigsburg University of Education and the Helwan University, Egypt. The purpose of the program is to develop and to provide managerial skills as well as competencies for cross-cultural challenges in education.
Note: Master program is designed to take between four and six semesters to complete. For ambitious students, the fast track makes it possible to complete the entire program within four semesters. The regular track consists of six semesters, leaving more time for academic writing, reflection and for completing online learning assignments and other tasks. The Brand Management Master combines business management knowledge with different focal points, which qualify for activities in marketing, trade, purchasing or sales in the luxury and consumer goods industry. In addition to project work and excursions, the Master Sales Management also includes a twelve-week practical phase. The majority of their lecturers have practical experience and work in companies such as Montblanc, Hugo Boss or Procter and Gamble.
Course is also available in Fast Track basis. Under fast track basis, semester abroad is omitted and you shorten your internship period. This allows you to complete your Master degree in only 3 semesters with 90 ECTS.
Note: An international double degree can be obtained in fashion management.
