Course Details

The Master of Science programme in International Horticulture is research oriented and well positioned to respond to the needs of actors in the horticultural sector throughout the world. Fruits, vegetables, flowers and trees – improving their quality, yield, economic performance and their eco-friendly cultivation are the domain of horticultural scientists. Students can choose (English taught) major in Economics, major in Plant Biotechnology, Physiology and Genetics or major in Plant Production and Propagation. Major in Horticultural value chains is taught in German.

Requirements

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirement includes Bachelor of Science (BSc.) or an equivalent degree in horticulture, biology, biotechnology, agriculture, economics or related fields.

Requirements for major in plant production and propagation is 30 ECTS-LP in biology, chemistry, physics, math and 30 ECTS-LP in plant production, plant nutrition, plant pathology, agricultural engineering.

Requirements for major in economics requirements is 30 ECTS-LP in agricultural economy, macroeconomics, industrial management, theory of markets and 30 ECTS-LP in plant production, plant nutrition, plant pathology, agricultural engineering.

Requirements for major in plant biotechnology, physiology and genetics requirements is 30 ECTS-LP in biology, chemistry, physics, math and 30 ECTS-LP in genetics, physiology, biotechnology, plant breeding.
