Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering/International Project Engineering offers a unique combination of engineering skills with management abilities, digital production capacities and international communication qualification, which are an important aspect of modern industrial and engineering practice. The graduates of the course will be able to deal with complex issues in the field of digital production and have the qualities and transferable skills necessary for employment requiring these aspects.

Regular model is a bilingual course, English spoken the first four semesters, German spoken the last three and Special model in cooperation with the Penang Skills Development Centre and companies in Malaysia can be studied in English language (Model M)

The program Cognitive systems introduces students to the theoretical and empirical foundations of cognitive skills, which serve as the basis for the development of models. In the practice-oriented Master programme process engineering and energy technology (peet) the students enter into an interdisciplinary knowledge domain extending from engineering (machinery construction, electrical technology and informatics) to natural sciences (chemistry, physics and biology).

The Bachelor programme in Applied Mechatronic Systems will allow students to gain a clear understanding of the relevant disciplines of mechatronics, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. Apart from brushing up necessary skills in mathematics, physics, and statistics, students get to deepen their programming, intercultural and communication skills. students will be able to design complete solutions for electromechanical systems and know how to implement the associated control systems, e.g. by using microcontrollers. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to learn more about exciting emerging fields such as automotive mechatronics, robotics, machine learning and smart manufacturing.

The Bachelor study programme in International Hotel Management will prepare you for a leading position in the international hotel industry. Students learn how to manage a hotel strategically and sustainably, how to motivate your employees, how to develop marketing and event concepts and how to create financing and business plans. International Hotel Management degree students will learn both business basis and specific knowledge of the hotel industry. Students will acquire know-how in the fields of business administration and economics as well as in human resources and accounting. Students will also be trained in marketing and social media in order to develop advertising strategies for a hotel.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Big Data Management and Analytics

Data and Discourse Studies is and interdisciplinary course of studies in discourse analysis with a focus on research data. Discourse analysis deals with the relationship between language, knowledge and society. The focus is on combining language analysis with historical, sociological, philosophical or political science research.  A central point is the handling of research data, their processing and digital analysis.  The course focuses on how these data are collected, organized, analyzed, and interpreted. This program can also be completed as part time with semester duration of 6 or 8, where each semester offers respective individual credit points.
