The Master programme ERM has an applied orientation. It is a consecutive course that follows the Environmental and Resource Management Bachelor degree offered by the BTU Cottbus - Senftenberg and is also suitable as a further qualification for graduates of other relevant Bachelor programmes

The course serves to broaden and deepen professional knowledge and management skills in the focus area of integrated environmental and resource protection. Graduates will be able to assess and design technological  economic and infrastructure processes with the objective of sustainable production  planning and material flow management.

Higher education entrance qualification German

All applicants with a German higher education entrance qualification can apply directly to the myBTU portal for their desired course of study programme. This applied also for students who are or were already enrolled at one of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg locations and would like to apply for a Bachelor's study programme or a change of study programme.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The goal of Biological Resources M.Sc. is to enhance understanding of soil, plant, animal and marine resources and inspire students, as a sustainability specialist, to devise new ways to make use of these resources, thus supporting the development of a bio-based economy. The degree programme combines the Advanced study of the natural sciences with relevant interdisciplinary subjects such as engineering and socio-economics to impart to you the knowledge and the critical eye to evaluate the future potential of certain biological resources in a scientific manner. Graduates are skilled specialists qualified for a broad range of careers in Consultancy positions for government authorities, agencies and/or non-governmental organisations, Key positions as a sustainability officer or natural conservation officer at national and multinational companies and organisations, Research and development positions in industry or at universities.

Biological Resources

The international Master programme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence aims to prepare students for demanding national and international research and development activities in this field. The Master programme is based on complex data analysis and automation: from mathematics and statistics to machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data, data management, modelling and simulation or data visualization.

The Semester contributions totalling 293.00 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Saarland Student Services fee of 98.70 EUR,  Personal accident, theft and public liability insurance cover fee 1.30 EUR, Payment to the General Student Committee (AStA) 13.00 EUR, Administrative charge fee 50.00 EUR and Semester travel ticket fee 130.00 EUR

English native speakers are exempt from proving language proficiency

The ultimate objective is enable students to turn current research topics into marketable products by launching a company either during the Master programme or immediately after graduating.

Distance Master: Blended Learning of Evaluation (MABLE) (Hybrid)

Master program in Bioeconomy focus on environmental, behavioral and innovation economics in combination with inter- and transdisciplinary elements. In addition to the core economic topics, extensive knowledge of sustainability and key technologies such as biotechnology, digitization, energy technology and process engineering is taught.

The language of instruction for this program is usually English. This means that most of the modules are offered in English.
