Jewish Civilizations is a joint Master program between the Hochschule für Jüdische Studien Heidelberg and Paideia – The European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden. The first phase of the degree program takes place in Stockholm with the One-Year Program. In the course of their studies in Stockholm and Heidelberg, students should acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge and knowledge of relevant methods, in order to be able to devote themselves to the study of complex events in Jewish culture in the past, present and future.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirement includes General university entrance qualification or equivalent with Bachelor degree with above average marks or equivalently recognised qualification in a relevant subject which involved at least three years of study and the accumulation of at least 180 ECTS points. Relevant disciplines include: cultural studies, social sciences, law, humanities subjects or theological studies eg. Jewish Studies, History, German studies and other subjects involving the study of literature, theology, philosophy, religious studies, Islamic studies, cultural studies, gender studies, art history and social sciences.
