The Master Programme »Integrated Urban Development and Design« (IUDD) is train students to develop abilities that will encourage them to react to transformation processes that are typical for the beginning of the 21st century: Urban landscapes of dispersed character  global markets as well as global challenges in environment and society  virtual spaces  powerful actors in the construction business and postmodern lifestyles are raising new challenges for the spatial Competencies of planners and designers dedicated to larger scales but with a sense for detail.
The aim of the consecutive programme is the training of local and international "curators for urban space". This takes place through a combination of spatial scientific-analytical and urban developmental-design oriented education  as well as through an integrated practical component or an in-depth semester in China.
The programme aims to deepen  expand and apply technical and methodological skills already acquired. These should also be considered in the context of international perspectives and enable interdisciplinary work. The programme is committed to define  analyse  include and streamline these diverse factors in the sense of Integrated Urban Development as an holistic approach and Its linkages to urban design in the metropolitan as well as rural-urban context.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

RWTH Aachen University is a public research university in Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Its full name is Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen. It is Germany's largest technical university, enrolling over 47,000 students in 170 academic areas. RWTH Aachen University's 620 acres (250 ha) campus is located in the north-western part of the city Aachen. RWTH Aachen University has 260 institutes. More than 170 academic programs, comprising the majority of traditional academic areas, are offered by the University's nine faculties. There are approximately 9,000 employees engaged in administration, teaching, and research, including 553 professors. 
 
 The RWTH Aachen has a higher-than-average proportion of international students as compared to comparable German institutions. In the German city of Trier, the Universität Trier was established in 1473. The university, which had been shut down by the then-French government in Trier in 1798, was reopened in 1970, following a break of about 172 years. Trier University

Bundeswehr University Munich, also known as Universität der Bundeswehr München or UniBw München, is one of the two federal research institutions in Germany that were established in 1973 as components of the German Armed Forces. The university is situated in Neubiberg, a town in the southern region of Munich, Bavaria.

Universität der Bundeswehr München is structured similarly to a typical university. There are 1,100 (non-military) workers who work with 3,400 students, including 163 full professors.
