In this English and American Studies, students deepen their subject knowledge and improve their practical language skills. Through opportunities for interdisciplinary research and numerous project assignments, they receive comprehensive preparation for a wide variety of fields of work. Students can create their personal profile by choosing a major area of study between linguistics and literary studies, as well as that of a minor area from Anglophone and European Cultural Studies, Didactics of English and depending on the choice of major area linguistics or literary studies.

With deep roots in its Lower Bavarian roots, the Technical University of Deggendorf grew to become Bavaria's most successful new university of applied sciences in the 1990s. Nobody could have predicted this level of success in the first year.
