This interdisciplinary, research-oriented Master program is aimed both at students of theoretical physics with a strong mathematical inclination and at students of mathematics with a strong interest in physical applications. The curriculum shall enable students to understand the mathematically precise formulation and the physical relevance of scientific work of partly interdisciplinary nature, to assess it critically and to present Its content in a comprehensive way. Furthermore the degree allows for one of the many possible careers outside academia that are open to these disciplines.

The Semester contributions totaling 321.74 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Semester ticket fee 153.89 EUR, Student Union fee 91.00 EUR, NRW Ticket fee 58.50 EUR and Student body fee 18.35 EUR
Minimum requirement includes a first university degree in related field of study of at least six semesters.
UNIcert II and Cambridge CAE is accepted as proof of language proficiency
